Columbia University AIDS Memorial |
since 15 May 1994 127 names |
The names on the Columbia University Memorial have been identified in obituaries, articles and by friends as Columbians who have died of AIDS. They surely reflect only a tiny percentage of Columbians overall who have died from the epidemic, which is itself only a tiny percentage of those worldwide who have died of AIDS.
The list was originally compiled as part of the 1994 CU Libraries exhibition Stonewall & Beyond, and is now maintained as an ongoing memorial by GABLES-CU (Gay, Bisexual, Lesbian Faculty, Staff and Supporters at Columbia).
