The sign reads:
Sydney Park Community Tree Planting Project
AIDS Memorial Grove
The AIDS Memorial Grove next to Council’s plant n ursery on Barwon Park Road is the result of annual community tree-planting days which began in 1994.
It has been progressively planted by volunteers from the Sydney Park Aids Memorial Groves Group (SPAIDS) as a living memorial. Above this grove is the SPAIDS reflection area for contemplation in memory of those who died of AIDS.
