On Sunday, June 27, 2021, 75 to 80 invited guests attended the Unveiling of the Los Angeles Black AIDS Monument at the Carl Bean House.
There were representatives and elected officials present to include Congresswoman Maxine Waters. Most importantly there were community gatekeepers who have dedicated their lives to addressing HIV/AIDS in the Black community for decades.
The program included a GONG sound bath, poetry, presentations, affirmations and a performance from the Inner City Youth Orchestra.
