In Uzhgorod, a monument dedicated to HIV patients (photo) was installed.
Today in Uzhhorod on the Kiev Quay, in front of the regional drama theater, a memorial sign was dedicated to HIV patients, as well as to those who died of AIDS. The mini-sculpture is made in the form of a ribbon that all over the world means the fight against AIDS. The initiator of its creation is the Transcarpathian Charitable Society of the Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS. At the opening were also invited partners of the community - representatives of the charity organization "Road of Life" and one of the local Protestant churches.

The organizers noted that the idea of opening the monument appeared for a long time, but a few years ago, the then authorities prevented its implementation. The main goal of the CUP is to draw attention to the problem of fighting AIDS, reminding everyone that this problem is still acute, and more and more Transcarpathians die every year from the disease.
