In the course of the Commemoration of the Tainted Blood Tragedy which was launched on 26 November 2007, the Canadian Hemophilia Society Québec Chapter planted a Tree of Life outside their Montréal office.
The memorial tree most probably is a northern red oak, Quercus rubra.
